WMO vs. EOS:
No surprises here (in terms of result; remember, EOS has gotten a lot stronger from last Season!) or a close fought match, but WMO made an interesting choice by dressing only 5 players (even though as far as I know, they had 12 available), almost forcing a Lucky Fan to the court as their M. Bensala totaled 5 personal fouls.

my bad, i am on holidays with a sports event and I haven’t taken time to complete the basic roster, it was not a choice ;) but it wouldn't have changed the result ;)

Happy holidays to you WiMaOl!
You're right - difference in points was big, so it wouldn't have turned around the boat this time. But luckily you had chosen at least 5 players to your roster, of which nobody was injured - otherwise it would've become a forfeit loss (due to dressing only 4 healthy players, while having more of them available, to put in short).

This is actually why I mentioned about it - if one knows they possibly have restricted access to BB in future, then it might be best, to be on the safe side if injuries occur that you hadn't had time to reach to, to choose more than 5 players to your default roster.

Anyways, once again, have a good holiday!

New league tables have seen the light of day... Oh, it's 2.30AM, so no, not really - but you got the point.

Very interesting matches again, especially:

WAG-HB 108-115:
The local competition was drawn before 4th, and then HB pressed pedal to the metal and I was left wondering how strange it feels to start Season at 0-5. Not massive differences other than HB's 10 extra rebounds, but my Linkova fouling out after spending 38 minutes on court didn't help my chances. (To be fair though, HB's leading scorer fouled out as well).

VPO-EOS 105-92:
"Do. Not. Hack. Di Natale - or anyone else from VPO, for that matter!" was heard from the sidelines, as VPO's A. Di Natale was perfect from the line (15/15) - however, rest of the team didn't fall short either, as they shot 22 of 22.
This wasn't the decisive difference in the sense that EOS also scored clinically 18/19 from the charity stripe - but it's still terribly difficult to operate with "hack the Shaq"-strategy, if you've fell behind to begin with, if opponent automatically gets 2 points every time you foul them.
Interesting take? EOS dominated rebounds 61-41, but turned the ball over 16 times (VPO 5), so there went the advantage gained in boards.

MAD-BCR 99-98:
A proper nail biter here - BCR led by 5 before 4th quarter, but very strong performance by MAD gave them a sweet victory over challenging BCR squad. Points behind 3 point arc: MAD 36, BCR 6. BCR totally dominated on boards (59-38), but it simply wasn't enough to win our only Spanish representative in HGL.

LGM-HGK 115-101:
HGK is starting to find a gear, where it can properly challenge mid-class teams, so lots of progress has taken place during couple of seasons. This time also the difference was only 4 points (to LGM's advantage) before 4th quarter, but then the French side beat Australians by 10 during the last 12 minutes of the game.
As for clinical free throw shooting, N. Grévin's (LGM) performance leaves no one cold - 19 out of 19 from the charity stripe. I can'r recall ever seeing more clinical FT performance by any sinble player in BB... (I might have, but honestly can't remember at least). Also their P. Ferréol dished out RS Round 5 high 15 assists - this wasn't HGL record, but "not too bad" either!

I think I won for two reasons:
- I used motion against a 2-3 defense;
- I had 14 team steals, a great number.

My total salary is 481k, but yesterday I played without a 48k starter, so my salary for the game was 433k. Eos, on the other hand, had a total salary of 633k.

It's incredible. They have 50% more than my salary. I don't know how I won, seriously, it's not just rhetoric.

Fresh league tables again have seen the light of the... night (again).

As for the light shining for my team personally, starting the Season at franchise low 0W-6L, it certainly is currently as bright as night.

However, some interesting scores (like scores-post reveals) on Round 6 as well, which I don't have time to review right now, but see for yourself: (331391.6).

Yes, like I mentioned, I've come to expect that total top8-salary in your case doesn't mean you wouldn't win... :)

However, now that league tables have been updated after RS Round 7, as VPO met one of the HGL giants, KKS, one huge winning streak came to an end, as KK Stihija was able to beat Virtus Portici by 16 points. This gives KKS big advantage for the rest of the Season, as now they have a lot more firm grip of the home court advantage until the very end of the Season 5 (but of course it's not still decided and many things could happen).

There's some calculation to do when we add all wins together that VPO was able to achieve during this winning run - a run, which won't be easily repeated.

For official HGL stats it might be good to differentiate (wins in a row) for example:
- RS wins in a row
- PO wins in a row
- total wins in a row.

Thanks Paul George, I'll add his transfer to the HGL Transfers-post a bit later (when I have bit time to update it everywhere it needs to be updated, etc. etc.).

League tables after RS Round 9 have now been updated. Very interesting games and scores during last two RS Rounds.

Sorry for delay this time. These 3 games weeks aren't my favorites TBH.

If you wonder why I've been logging in to BB and not having updated HGL league table when doing so, it's only due to not having enough time for that - I've had to set up some lineups/tactics during those logins. In other words, if I have 2, 5 or even 10 minutes time to spend in BB in some given occasion, there's absolutely no way I'd be able to do it with that time frame.

Let's take an example: now that I updated 2 RS Rounds to league tables and scores post (and made some copies where they are needed), it took about an hour (to do it carefully and properly - wrong scores are the last place where I want to make mistakes).

And, I'll respond to MrJ's message about player stats later (but in short; I think we all understand your delays and appreciate work put into HGL in the long run, no matter what the publication schedule would be), but with the same spirit I can share with all of you that I still haven't started gathering HGL team stats for this Season, so there's lots of work that should be started quite soon (so that it doesn't grow into a taller mountain, or rather an insurmountable object).
