As you may know, advertising other games is against the rules.

I don't think BuzzerBeater's main problem is that it feels old.

In fact, being a slow-paced, long-term manager game is one of its greatest strengths. Many of us are still here because BB does not require daily grinding, constant attention, or pay-to-win mechanics. It allows managers to build something over months and years, and that is increasingly rare in modern gaming.

Many former managers played for years and left not because they disliked the game, but because life happened: work, studies, family, or other commitments. They simply never had a reason to return.

Because of that, I believe one of the biggest opportunities for BB is bringing former managers back while also helping new players understand what makes the game special.

Some ideas:

Welcome-back campaigns aimed at former managers.
Community stories from returning users.
More activity on social media and community platforms.
Better onboarding for new users.

Not by simplifying the game itself, but by helping new managers understand why patience, planning, and long-term thinking are rewarded.

I would be very careful about changing the core mechanics. Slow progression, long-term planning, and meaningful consequences of decisions are part of BB's identity and should be preserved.

My suggestion is simple: preserve the vintage manager experience, but improve the way people discover, return to, and learn the game.

The goal should not be to turn BB into a modern mobile game.

The goal should be to help modern players discover that this unique type of game still exists.

Based on what I'm seeing with BOTH of my teams being the first season not paying other than the second team fee I would be hard pressed to say there is not a MAJOR disadvantage to being a freeloader. Case in point I apparently somehow "lost" my scheduled SC game this week and have now have no way of scheduling one for training this week. Too bad for me I guess.

BUT all that being said I doubt I will be spending much time on BB in the future just kinda has a smell of unfairness about it the more I play it and while I fully understand paying for XTRA to make the game more enjoyable. I just isn't worth it if it is stagnated and the same bugs never get fixed.

It doesn’t have to be turned into a modern mobile game, but I’ve been playing this for the better part of 13 years across multiple teams, and what really frustrates me is how poor the UI still is. It often feels like the game is just benefiting from how strong its initial launch was, without much real effort to push it forward or polish the rough edges.

National Team tournament browsing and search is a joke.
BB3 has always felt like an afterthought since it still doesn’t include stats, player achievements, and similar features.
Not being able to set a roster based on game type (SC, BBM, Private) is also pretty frustrating.
Game Manual is confusing and barely covers the basics.

There are so many quality-of-life improvements that would make the game more attractive and easier to get into, but they keep getting ignored.

And I don’t really buy the “coding stuff in BB is hard” excuse - having worked in tech companies for over 6 years, I’ve seen 10x larger sollutions built in far less time than it would take to implement a single button in BB.

I don't know why we even have a Suggestion forum because none of that stuff wil be implemented anyways.

What's unfair?

Just the scrimmage B.S. alone is enough. I pay for the team BUT unlike the free teams my scrimmage gets "cancelled" and WHAT is my recourse? I'm out a week of training....

MAYBE it is just coincidence BUT

both teams have played 2 more road games at this point.
both team have seen a large increase in Fouls committed since membership ended
both teams have lost in very spectacular San Antonio Spurish chokes to vastly inferior teams.
An the thing I noticed last game was while the game was playing the stats were a mess. According to the stats best player was like 5/10 from the field and 7/10 from 3pt which using OLD math would be 31 points. But it only showed him making 15. So which is it? ALL the other players were the same BUT the point total DID match the score. Do I even TRUST the stats now or ANY stats for that matter and just consider this game to be a coin flip?

Not going to get in a back and forth nor am I looking for advice. Was actually on the forum looking up info on the above which is like searching thru the Epstein Files for specific FACTS. I'm just a 1year player who WAS a paying player [customer] who is starting to look at Tiddlywinks for entertainment.

Good Luck to ALL in the World Cup and let's hope it is a safe one for all REAL humans !

Peace Out

Thank You BOTH for PROVING my points. I have played 1 yar and that was my post about the game. I'm sure that YOU experts have it ALL figured out which by the way IS the problem. It is also WHY I don't get involved with never ending Forums like this.

An just for an FYI

I do have a Double-Digit IQ and I do have the ability to KNOW about my PAID and FREE team and small details AND I'm also very aware that having played just 1 year i don't know squat[ [ Try reading your Manual and then playing the game BAHAHHAAHAH!] I also KNOW that my interest in this Forum Topic ALL came about when I was searching for several days thru hundreds of posts going back years and years of the "experts" on a question involving the Xfer Market and IF something would be considered cheating. You know, something a retired former REAL basketball coach would have concerns about.

I think in the last 48 hours or so THIS former paying customer has made his final decisions regarding the future. Thanks and Good Luck.

Double Digit IQ is a NEW Americanism in reference to the single digit IQ followers of the convicted serial felon leader of the Republican Party who has very VIVID hallucinations of grander while being a frady cat when asked by a woman about Facts on an old long running from LAST century political TV show in the USA called Meet The Press and their refusal to except facts /reality or the truth.

The OLD version was when Arrrrg showed back up at the cave after running the FIRST Marathon and giving them the bad news of the impending doom and having to say to the discontented masses. "Don't kill me, I'm just the messenger. "
