My team is homegrown and becomes competitive.
There are many homegrown teams indeed that become strong, I wonder if they will start to promote this year (or already have).

It really changes the focus, as its been stated before. Another point is that I earn more money than I can spend ; I've build an over-seized arena already, now what ? I guess salary pops will solve part of the "problem".

It's worth saving the money until those salaries start to become so expensive that you'll be losing money.

...if that, in deed, ever does happen.

100% Homegrown so far. 100% non-competitive so far. Could make the playoffs barely if I´m lucky this season.
About know, my inside (mainly 2-pos training) is adequate, but with an outside worthy of... nothing, its now time to train guards.
HOWEVER, I am one of the swedish managers who are hoping to contribute to the SWE U21-team by training atleast one swedish TO in my Utopian team...

I only started this season, so can't really proud myself on being homegrown LOL

But I will probably keep going like this for a while.

Got 3 trainees this season, patched them up a bit. I scouted OD/ID and will be training 6 guys next season 1v1FW.

Since my players are in it for the long haul, I'm training six at a time. It's actually kind of fun and infuriating at the same time.
Guys who foul out all the time? Well, they're who I'm stuck with until I can draft someone who doesn't.

My second season I had the most amazing starting C.
Led the league in: Fouls, TO's, and Blocked Shots.

I see you're dong nice, two high potential trainees, arena going up. Congratz :)

My long term plan is to collect 50 points and get a player or two will uber starting skills.

Hey thanks!
Yeah, we made it to the playoffs last year, and looks like we'll be the 4th seed again this year.
Kind of by the nature of training everyone together, you develop a very balanced team, only nuanced by their starting skills and their height. Of course, by choosing training plans, you can guide their direction, which is really cool and fun.
I can beat most teams, except the elite teams in each division. My bench is nearly as strong as my starters, so I confront opposing teams with a steady attack of mediocre offense and defense throughout the game, which is enough to wear out lots of the opposition in my league.

I could see going another route, where you do single position training, and develop three mega-stars. Kind of like the Heat from years past. Best of luck with your draft!
