Pilipinas defeated anew by host, Australia, 86-70In a game where the winner gets to set foot in the World Championships, Pilipinas fell short against the steamrolling host, Australia. Initially keeping the game close in the 1st quarter, Australia decided to ramp it up, leaving the Pinoys in the dust.
In our last game of the season, Leorio Lovino lead the charge on offense putting up a team-high 23 pts and 5 asts. Paul Emery contributed 13 pts, 3 rebs and 2 stls. Arby Monegro was the only other player to score in double digits (10 pts, 5 rebs, 2 stls) albeit in abysmal 3 of 16 shooting from the field.
To conclude our season, I would like to thank all the coaches who kept all NT players in tiptop shape. Special mention as well to coaches who are keeping their prospective NT player in great shape while patiently waiting for them to get called up. I would like to thank Coach Morwood and all PH coaches who helped rebuild our current program and train our current pool of players. Let's try to keep this up and keep improving.
I would like to extend my appreciation as well to our veterans (Coach Obi
(55117), Coach Jeorge
(190144), Coach Leo
(54375), Coach Ivan
(54442), Coach Greedy
(54357), Coach TJ
(55022), Bro Khen
(54180), fpanzer
(54605), Alonzo Hood
(190562)) who are continuously supporting the NT program and are helping in developing our future players. Kung may mga nakalimutan pa akong i-mention, pasensya na po.
Again, maraming salamat sa suporta ngayong season na ito. Hopefully kasama ko pa rin kayo next season sa World Repechage. We'll do our best to reach the World Championships.
Laban Pilipinas!
