If I remember right, the intention is to keep people from having their only initial experience of the game being botsmashing or getting smashed by bots. This way if you lose, you're losing to real people. And you have a season at least to get to know your real, human opponents.
Yes, that was probably the intention but it didn't quite hit the mark.
Take me for example, I was in a league with humans and some bots, I won the playout and still got shuffled to another league which had other humans and bots. Funny thing: my current league has now MORE bots than my previous league :D
The same is happening to other friends of mine...
I agree with OP, stop shuffling unless it's absolutely necessary (let's say you play in a league with less than 5 active people, or something like that).
