I didn't even plan to promote last season, but the best team in the league lost in the second round of the playoffs, and the rest, as they say, is history. At the start of this season I set my goal as survival. I planned to stay in the cup for as long as possible to help maintain finances and enthusiasm. What has happened so far this season has far, far outweighed my expectations.

My point is, don't underestimate your chances if you promote. You have a good roster, and already have a huge stadium - a luxury that I didn't (and still don't quite) have. You get £1,000,000 for promoting and if you spend this wisely and update your roster well you will have a competitive EBBL team. You can pick up EBBL standard big men for next to nothing these days. A couple of them and a new guard should be all you need. One bit of advice I'd give you is don't be scared to buy old. A 29 year old still has 4 seasons until his skills start to decrease, and even then they won't decrease too drastically for another year (in my experience anyway).

One thing I'll say as well is I hope for your sake (and mine as well) that if you do promote you go into The Great 8. The Big 8 already has enough talent, let the other side have some!

On a side note, I'm not too sure why Moomins has tanked if I am honest. Sonics will forfeit every game this season, so he'll have to lose every game and forfeit at least one to get 5th (I'm not 100% sure 5th is even a possibility). He's probably the favourite to make the playoff final too. Doesn't make sense to me.

should i eventually get promoted to the EBL i am hoping that i can get some cpmpetitive high salary players for the kind of money i have in the bank and as you say the £1m will help. at least i have the arena although pricing might be a challenge to get right straight away!
im prepared to replace my bigs with better skilled experienced guys - im proud have what mine have done but they wouldnt cut it in a higher league. theyve done me well for a few seasons and as you say skill decreases dont come until 32 at the earliest i think
lets hope i can find some bigs who arent monoskilled. i saw one guy the other day for about 800k and i would have been happy with him so all is not bad. and maybe prices will drop slightly after the play off frenzy!
youve done very well this season. we met in the cup. there was no way my boys could compete, although i was surprised we lost by so much

i am not patient enough to tank :( guess that is my down fall

as tonight shows again, i dont understand the GE at all and I doubt I will ever understand it. I am not a favourite, never was and never will be :)

I do have the best player in the league in my opinion, but he is capped and this annoys me alot, not sure where to go from here...

you had an awesome season so far and it will be interesting to see who will join us next season

unfortunately a rushed buy and perhaps spent over for him... but im really short of time these days and i needed a better big. If i should get promoted im not sure he'll make the grade on the inside but i wont mind if i have to move him on again. itll be interesting to see how he does with the rest of the team :)

not long to the deadline. im sure there will be more acquisitions in amongst our teams to fight for those playoff spots and get HCA in the relegation playoff etc etc
