Well here we are - past the all-star break and this is the first thread of Season 24, just including a little poll to see how long it would have taken in your opinion to start off the first thread.

Poll:  How long did you think it would have taken to start off the conversation thread for Season 24?

Ive considered starting it like 8 times, but was too lazy. Figured if no one else started one id just make one at start of playoffs so the list of threads doesnt lok akward without season 24. My teams alot worse then last season, so I'm just training and losing. Fun.

Your team is now in second place - I would say not bad at all. My team is totally out of the playoffs and stuck in relegation territory. I never did this badly, ever. I must reconsider what to do. Fight to stay in div. II or simply get relegated and reboot.

I think the best option in all cases is to fight to stay in D.II

Im happy that my conference is a bit weaker then last year, hae no clue how that happened though. But now i at least get to coast through the season and get a few wins here and there without much thought or effort. Won't even consider trying to contend, maybe next season.

Serenity Now - can anybody explain what happened with that team??? He's in 1st place and he has no players left - last time I looked there were only two left. He's gone from a legitimate contender to a has-been in no time - totally unreal.

I need to ask this because I'm perplexed but did neither Miner Pride nor Scarborough realize that losing Saturday was advantageous as it would have (probably) put either of them solely in 4th place and handed a free playoff win on Tuesday against Serenity? Why in the world were they both trying to finish in 3rd place?

That is a good question that perhaps only the managers of those two teams can answer. However, it seems to me that neither of them investigated the dire condition of the first place team. I am sure that if they knew they would have tried to lose their games. Proof that it helps to do a little homework.

I just came home from a vacation in europe. Tried to stay off the internet and to be honest it is a throw away season. If i went player shopping before the playoffs i might have promotion chance, but without it, highly unlikely. Whatever, i got 4th seed.

As it is not bad - you will get an easy pass to the semis - throw away season that ends with money in the bank. Way to go!
