That is a good question that perhaps only the managers of those two teams can answer. However, it seems to me that neither of them investigated the dire condition of the first place team. I am sure that if they knew they would have tried to lose their games. Proof that it helps to do a little homework.

I just came home from a vacation in europe. Tried to stay off the internet and to be honest it is a throw away season. If i went player shopping before the playoffs i might have promotion chance, but without it, highly unlikely. Whatever, i got 4th seed.

As it is not bad - you will get an easy pass to the semis - throw away season that ends with money in the bank. Way to go!

Well done Shabbies - you defied the odds and got very lucky at the end because your opponent went bankrupt the week of the finals. Still you had a good season and finished on top - that is what it is all about. I honestly wish you success at the next level and congratulate you on your win.
