He is a great player and will end up as a starter in Naismith if trained properly. Not sure about NT, but just inside skills from now on and he might have a slight chance

I think it'd be interesting to go the stretch-4 (or pivot) route. His potential limits him from becoming prototypically great.

92-100% capped and $64k salary:

14 JS, 9 JR
10 OD, 11 PAS, ~13 HND/DRV
10 IS, 14 ID, 14 REB, 9 SB

It's scary seeing such low IS with it being so great. But that's a moderate risk/extraordinarily high reward with the new GE.

Because of the other 2 Hall of fame 'foreigners' I'm training, that looks strangely like how he might end up
One is ID weak and the other is RB weak

Oh man, you are in a tough conference and he'll get real expensive real quick if you only take up his insides. I think I'd consider training OD and PAS a bit more.

It might sound like overkill, but it's actually really beneficial for him and also the financials of your team. More OD (1-2 pops) and PAS (3-4 pops) wouldn't affect his salary a dime and would make him an incredibly more versatile player and potentially elite-elite NT player.

Maybe an outside SF? An increase in all guard skills and some IS and ID. Since JS and REB are really expensive for SFs, keeping his REB at a modest level could be beneficial if potential caps work purely off salary. I don't know if that's the case, though.

side note: it feels dirty telling people to train outside-oriented players. if people listen, remember that I want all of the credit and none of the blame

great thread idea!

I have one Canadian trainee who is just piggybacking my two foreign trainees.

He is nothing special, but im doing big man training for the next 3 seasons so he might be on the U21 depth charts I guess!

OD, OD and more OD :D then same with passing and one on one. After that all inside skills starting with ID (although probably U21 coach would say different)

I would be aiming to create a PF with this guy. Obviously he has some holes on the outside but that potential makes it all worth while.

With the U21 squad aside I would focus on OD and passing for a full season. Then more OD and some JS, JR for another season. And lastly you can focus on the big three or four depending on the GE at that time.

Obviously he may be better suited as a beastly centre which only requires a bit of passing and OD before really going hard at the big three or four.

This is my only real "trainee", as I'm working on capping my 23 year old and just picked up a 21 year old HoF to build into a bench player.

What are your thoughts? I know his potential limits him, but I'd like to hear what other people think he could become.
