We have the 2 highest seeds in the league so we should be in for an interesting clash.

Good luck to Elmacca and Manu

Maybe i'll make it next year ;) haha

Think most of us are still working on the shape of our teams, nobody has really tried against elmacca this year, he's had a fairly easy run.

From how I see it, looking at the matchup, Elmacca's biggest problem is how to make it a 3 game playoff if he wants to.

Hah. Harsh, but, erm, 116-59, you might have a point.

Solid team in full experience and development, wasn't much point in splashing out to take you on this season. It's a fine team you have put together, just a shame that age will hurt some of your NT players next season, they have been brilliant for England this year.

Simpson is only 30 next season, so no worries there.

In Sharpling's case, being 34 next season may stop him being a top 30 player in the world, as he was at 33, but he'll still be a top 300 player and an automatic selection for the NT, I should expect

Hongs hasn't lost a skill all season, in fact he gained an extra level in shot blocking. Not bad for a 33yr old (But, I need to shift him to create salary room for a third 170k+ NT player, should I be able to track one down) So, Hongs might well be someone else's NT player before too much longer.

I expect this too.

I saw the SB pop and didn't understand that at all. I'd be interested in Hongs, though not at that price, and also I'm not sure if the NT coach should own an NT player. If indeed I am the coach next season.

A fair few of the older guys on my team have gained a skill level over a season through cross-training. Warren Stewart went from 14 to 15 in IS before I sold him. Even Connor Anderson, at 35, recently regained a previously lost level. Even at 36 next season he'll be one of the best SFs in the EBBL and justify his spot on the bench at B3 level.

When the skill falls come, they tend to be painful, but I think some of the guys who haven't managed older players would be surprised at the skill regression rate when career extension trainers are in place for all the time a player spends aged 33+ and I have a pet theory about game shape being a factor. My Utopia team has certainly taught me a lot about 35/36 year olds!

If you want to buy Hongs, make me an offer via BB Mail. He'd dominate at II level and he opens up the outside offense tactics.

I think you could get away with being Hongs manager and his NT manager as he has a unique skillset and his role at NT level, back-up SG, is fixed and clear to everyone. If you were Palit, Gazza, Esposto or Madelin's manager it would be different, as they have similar skillsets to their rivals for a spot on the team.

Congrats mate, good job this season, well deserved with the team you put together. Lets hope we can all give you a bit more of a run this season, my team isn't really there yet but it's beginning to take some shape. Maybe I can have a chip at you for a bit of fun ;)

I do wish there was more of a selection of English players to go around, the two I sold were wasted in my team given the dynamic of my two trainees so I'm glad they stayed within the EBBL
