I do some backpacking. The last several years time has been more restrictive, so I have only been out about one or two weeks per year. I've compensated by really only planning life-lister type trips. Lets see...the last few were Mt Moriah Wilderness during a fairly unique set of astronomical conditions; a sometimes offtrail route to the base of the Grand Canyon, up and down some side canyons and slots, then back up. That was during the winter, so the top few thousand feet were under snow and ice. Dinosaur Natl Monument and Browns Park Natl Wildlife Refuge mixed in there. Before those there was a trip to Great Sand Dunes NP, a trek through a couple wilderness areas in the Wind River range in Wyoming and a rarely used section of Olympic NP. This September I'm headed to the North Cascades area for a week, probably to Glacier Peak Wilderness.
