Well looks like I made it. Thought that last game would be a bit closer, bit got the result I was aiming for so that's ok.

Good luck in playoffs all :)

Great comeback to make the playoffs! I didn't think you'd do that. I had Olympi finishing 3rd, thought they'd win either of their last 2 games.

Whoever wins you vs Miami is definitely the best team in this conference / favourites in the 2nd game imo. Whoever wins I hope you go on and beat Kapsukas though. It'd be a great achievement given how easy their season has been...Nothing against that team personally, it's just like they're the Cavs, Narborough are Boston and everyone else is Kings / 76ers level.

After I beat Ariminum I completely forgot I had to play relegation games :D but I should be alright even if my players sell tonight.

The other day I looked through some of the history of the red conference: Arab, Trix and Gwent made the playoffs in season 24!! I was surprised. Super impressive consistency, but also, it's really time for one of you guys to leave this division...

I tried something silly for this game, trying to play into my inside oriented team. Didn't work out at all haha. I always do something silly in the playoffs, as I try and throw off my opponents expectations but end up messing myself over due to lack of true understanding :')

I really should have promoted in Season 27. Just Harlowina 2010 ran some weird tactics that made one guy always score like 10000 points. It 20-2 season and I got beat by a 12-10. And a 12-10 promoted. Crazy. And of course I was beyond predictable with my tactics. The game day prep thing really did ruin me, as now I just random it a bit more, which makes me play poorly haha.

Good job in relegation game, and good luck in your last :)

EDIT:

3 mins in one of my better insides got injured. Now that is a shame. The guy who replaced him can't even hold a candle to him.

Really unlucky trix, I really thought you had me though with the tactics because I would have done the same if all my inside players were in great shape. I honestly think it was the injuries to your big man and Angold that affected ur tactics.
I do think your team is the team to beat next season as you have a solid team and is not an ageing one like mine and a few others lol

I have noticed that my team has been a little on the rough side this season which has kinda helped out this season

It looks like its not going to get any easier for me though with Arab well lately, I'll just have wait and see how the next one turns out.

And good luck to Arsenal and the rest

Ah I didn't notice Angolds injury. I didn't watch it live, so I was just wondering why Sotiriou only played 3 minutes. That would explain a bit more. All my stats were so low except inside offence, so was a bit confused. I thought that if I put an inside man on SF, who has ok outside stats, I could maybe overload my inside play and win. But with one of my main offensive inside men injured in 3 mins, was tricky. Angold was just salt in the wound, as one of my best guards.

To be honest, I doubt I could beat Kapsukas. I always drop the ball in the finals anyway. So I am happy that someone else would get the chance for the Red side victory we've all been waiting for :)

Best of luck in the playoffs for Arab and JA :)

EDIT:

2 week injury for Sotiriou, oh my. Glad it's end of the season haha.

I don't think your plan vs Miami was a bad one galla, I did the PF at SF thing to win the game against Ariminium that basically kept me up. Just v unlucky with the injuries and somehow you were 0-15 from 3. In a normal game 4 of those probably go in and it's tied anyway.

Surprised by today though! The stats say JA is the better team but couldn't overcome the crunch...Crazy 4th quarter turnaround. After seeing his bigs skills I'm less surprised he lost a game though ;)

I've made a rookie error - Didn't realise if I won today I'd not pay salaries next week! I've essentially paid 200k (- any income from game 3, which is either ~95k or 50k if it's the same as promotion g3) for the chance at 2 extra training slots. Bah. Did it in Utopia too, except there it's less expensive as the income will almost make up the lower salaries. I should've known really, of course BB has a mechanism in place to stop you exploiting it for extra income / training.

Kapsukas the big favourites then...good luck Arab.

Deep down I'm sure that I'm happy JA didn't roll into this League from III and win it in one season haha, but unlucky indeed. Without playing Normal, the final would be a bit tough I'm sure. Was a risk, didn't pay off, but was probably the best choice.

Good luck Arab, Red side put our faith in you!

yeah it was a close game till the end and i knew it would be difficult to overcome the crunch but Arab played a great game and Arsenal is right my bigs needed to be better but they did their job this season, so i can't complain.

Trix i was really hoping i would roll through after spending like 8 season in a tough d3 but i knew it wasn't going to happen though haha, i am still learning the game so hopefully next season would be better.
And you were right i could have crunched and possibly had a chance of going through but would be difficult to beat Kapsuka in the final so I had to take a risk which didn't pay off unfortunately.

I kind of got myself into a bit of trouble by making a stupid decision to sell my whole roster after the loose but i really needed to get rid of my old guys anyway.but after looking at the market that might be a lot more difficult than i thought.

That 3rd game was so close. I caught the end...You were 2 Lezha missed FTs from making the EBBL. One make and it probably goes to OT at least. Gutting. I'd be tempted to sell him just for that ;) Great finals series though.

I'll make a new topic on or before Saturday's opening games. Bit of a preview or something, I'm just waiting to see if there's any more significant transfers.

i know, i saw it....so close...but what to do....we have to fight every single game on the red side and manage tactics and enthusiasm, while blue teams get the difficult games only on the finals....so enthusiasm makes a big difference.

keep up the good posts
