Welcome to a new season in DII.1

We salute 6 new teams who will fight to ensure their place in the series.

Blue side

1. Royal Canin

Finished 5th in BBBL (with 12 wins) and had no luck in the playdowns. GS wasn't good and Vottom Cowboys could benefit from it. I believe Bradok wants to get back to BBBL as soon as possible.

2. Cavs nation

They were crowned champions in DIII.8, jarnkleyn has a balanced team and wants to secure his spot in DII.

3. Beerschot AC

Another champion but maybe too soon. Freaky659 is rather new in the game and needs to change a lot to stay in our league.


Red side

1. Partizán de Cotobade

This manager start his 3th season in BB. Despite a few good players, I believe fighting for relegation will be his main goal.

2. LOST4

PFSF is a very experienced owner (started in S3). After becoming champion in DIII.9 last season, his team looks competitive to achieve good results in DII as well.

3. BouffAssist

Also an experienced owner (since S10) who couldn't become a champion last season. He has some interesting players who can give him a good result in this league.

I believe this season will be (again) a very competitive one.

We started with 1 big surprise: Phoenix Heaven, last seasons finalist, has become bot today. They've won their opening game against BouffAssist and now we know this will be their only win this season.

Based on last season, I do have some questions:

1. Will Aubel Nation continue his good form with a nr 1 spot at the end of the regular season?
2. Looks the blue group stronger than the red group?
3. What team has what it takes to become champions?

Nautelet asked to compare the world ranking to have a better view. So I'll do that and hopefully, some of the questions will become clearer on this basis.

I believe the league has a little bit more quality than last season, or at least it would be the case had Phoenix not turned into a bot.

I believe Royal Canin should be champion, even though they surprisingly lost their first game. Their roster seems to be solid and he will be hard to beat repeatedly in PO.

I believe I won't be able to reiterate the same season as last season, my trainees are still very green and at one point in the season I'll have to switch their training, which means they'll have to start championship games as well as friendly game. I still hope I'll make it to the play-offs though, securing another season in D.II

I agree, it will be hard for you to repeat what you did last year. But play-offs should be possible!

For me it's more or less the same :) Last season I qualified for the play-offs. But due to training that won't happen to me again. This season I'll be fighting to stay in the league. And with Yorrick I do believe I can achieve this. He's probably the best guard in our league.

I thought the world ranking of a team was helping to define who'd win a game.
But it seems I was wrong. TGE beat my team the last 2 games, union liege beat Royal Canin last Saturday...


Regarding this new season, Royal Canin is my favourite, even if it lost his first game.

I don't think Aubel Nation will be weaker than last season.

Houdeng Donkeys' goal is to stay in II.1.
Logically we should stay. But we never know what it can happen.

I know it's from buzzer-manager, but you'll make a gameday performance of every game? That would be cool B)

I got 3th place in my first season in this second division.
Hoping to get the same result in this season.
I was able to replace some of my old players by young players but no damage in quality.
This season i hope to replace the last 3 players above age 30.

Great to see that kind of enthusiasm on the forum ! Objective of Collège Saint-Louis Basket remains the same : training and staying in the division. It could appear paradoxical with my roster but I will never prefer a win above a good training week except maybe in the cup.

That seems also clear for me that Bradok will be crowned champion, whatever his rank at the beginning of the PO will be.

Finally, welcome to Lander who will have a terrible season by inheriting of Phoenix heaven franchise... Don't give up boy ! Take as much experience as you can and next season will for sure be better for you.

My objective this season is to get experience in such a high division and to keep building infraestructure and young players.

Warm welcome in BB Belgium!

If you want to train young players, don't hesitate to build Belgian youngsters in our U21 ;) The best way to grow!
I say this not because I'm the U21 coach :P
