Another season!

The discord has been active recently so make sure to check it out if you haven't already - (305255.1).

Goals for this season:

* Survive first season of II.
* Maintain good GS if any players make the U21 squad.
* Invest excess funds in arena.

Poll:  Who is your early season choice for EBBL champion?

Should be a really interesting EBBL this season. With Vecx on his way out and Bergkamp's struggles he has mentioned on the discord, there are a few teams that may see this season as a chance to win the title. I'm not one of those teams haha. I voted for Hope Springs to win the title based on teams as they are now. I know a few guys looking to make moves so my favourite may change. Hope have a really good team (that always destroys me!)m and I they got unlucky with an injury last season, and the 3 seasons before. We've not had a red conference EBBL winner for too long now and that needs to change!

My goals for the season:
- Win U21 election, and then have a successful U21 season
- Again survive in the EBBL, with a lower salary team than before.
- save cash
- Keep improving my trainees to NT level

My goals.. hm. Continuing training my Youths PG/SG/SF for next 2 seasons at least, selling main PG (25yrs old in new season) as I need to get more space for guards. Purchasing young but average PF with some skills already. Saving cash for 2 seasons as I don't have any big plans for league results in couple of seasons.

Probably will try to push for promotion to EBBL, but still waiting to see who will join us from newly promoted/ demoted teams. Also hoping to have a decent run in the cup this year.

You won't get competition from me. Staying close to the floor for now and hoping to survive. Hoping also that my soon to be 39yo English player can get an NT call up.

If Vycka gets relegated in to your league he may call him up if you matchup with him in the playoffs haha

The plan is to take this season seriously and try to fix everything whats going on in the club - I have been on half bot mode about 3 seasons, woke up almost in the play-offs last season, bought some old players but it wasnt enough to make a decent push. Finances is in the mess, no vision whatsoever, team infrastructure almost non existiting...

Like you see, team is as good as manager - no vision at all, live day by day. :D

Blane McDougall could be trained if you wish, although you can pick up someone with the same potential but 10-15 more skill points very cheaply. The other players aren't worth anything due to their skills and/or low potential.

In my signature there's a link to a beginner guide I wrote a few seasons back when I was starting out. There is a section on training which provides some information and outlines a plan you could follow. It's not a detailed guide but tries to cover some basics.

One of the easiest mistakes to make early on is spending too much in the transfer market. So if you see a trainee you might like but aren't sure if they have the right skills, or if they are too expensive, feel free to ask here or in the discord. Ask as many questions as you want, I know there's a lot to learn when you're starting out.
