Senegal Proves to be South Africa's Kryptonite, Beating Us Again...
In an intense rivalry rematch against Senegal, South Africa looked poised to get their revenge early in the week after a great game shape update. Unfortunately with recent sales transfers of two of our five best players, C Molefi and N Ndaba were both in lower game shape than expected.
The offense clicked well for the most part, running Motion into Senegal's 3-2 zone, and M Giqwa, N Tshwete, and K Kolane all ended with 24 points apiece. Unfortunately we ran into foul trouble and our bigs struggled shooting the ball all night. Sadly our four bigs in the rotation shot a combined (and abysmal) 3/20 from the field We entered the 4th quarter down 12 points and fought back to make it a competitive finish, even making a contested three pointer which brought it within 2 points with 12 seconds left... unfortunately we came up just short, resulting in a 102-107 loss.
South Africa looks to get back on track next week against Tounes, who is coming off of a CT game and will be exhausted. In our matchup two weeks ago, we won 104-84.
