Hi all.

Is there an issue with the starting price of some players when a team goes bot?

For example, the below two players are both on the NZ NT with estimated transfer values of about $80K, yet they are listed for $500K each? I am not sure if they will sell or not.

John Maurice (47793767)
Ralph Monk (48407142)

Assuming they aren't going to sell, is my only option to buy them both for $1 Mill and then resell straight away for about $100K just so they can stay in the game?

Cheers

Thanks.

My question was more around whether others thought there was an issue with the process rather than what the process actually is.

In this case the 10 x salary rule looks like it doesn't reflect a fair market value. So from a NZ perspective we are left with the option to lose $900K or let the players from our NT be retired?

Seems like a flawed model.

Seems like a flawed model.

I remember that it's meant to reduce the number of players with bad builds. I agree with Phoenix that if they aren't worth that money, they deserve to be retired in the first place.

However... I come from a micronation as well, so I understand your pain. I personally have been buying prospects at 10x their price and reselling them for 1k. Last season I even bought up a NT player for 500k and resold him for 1k. All because we need all the talent we can get.

I certainly hope that BB would at least lower the starting price for NT players.

I have a very logical suggestion on this. Just selling them by market value. Why it is not like this? Players value is for example 60-80k and like free agent 200k, krazyyy

Because the TPE / market value is not always accurate, and sometimes doesn't provide a figure anyway (as is the case with one of the guys above).

The current system works fine for most players, it's just a handful of NT players where it causes issues. Maybe NT players should start at $1, if that doesn't have any unintended consequences.

That would certainly help a lot of micronations. I'm all for minimum price.
