The Flash Mashers have picked up right where they left off in season 19 by winning two straight over their rival Extra Crispy and Natellio. Chekreyes, who has remained in his office since his team was knocked out of the playoffs in the first round was unavailable for comment.
"Right now we're just trying to stay competitive with out over extending ourselves" said player Gary March, "Last season the bigs we brought in cost a lot of money but they couldn't get the job done."
When asked about his inside scoring abilities Usman Mansour said "If I had to rate this teams Inside Scoring I'd say it was Proficient... actually Proficient Low. I have no idea why but I just feel like that's a good word to describe it." The Flash Mashers are putting up these 'Proficient Low' ratings with a much lower payroll than last season and lower gameshape as well.
A disgruntled Al Nelson commented, "Our biggest focus is the cup, that's where the money is, but you can tell Chekreyes that unless he comes out of his effing office to coach instead of yelling drunken slurs at us through the intercom system he had installed in the gym that I'm going to start losing on purpose!"
