i have done the same in the past... annoying that is :(

i also waisted money on buying a 7th or 8th trainee :( when you cant train more than 6...

i think you are too good a trainer for division III, but sometimes it is not a bad idea to drop to division III.

I have no experience of dropping to D3 but I've seen it work for some people. Obviously Johannes is one. Vecx, whose Tide of Fire team is surviving comfortably back in the EBBL is another.

I've also seen teams do well by surviving in bottom half of D2. In season 25, after challenging in previous years, Manchester Giants went 5-17 and finished 7th in the conference, but won their relegation playoff. The following season they challenged again and came closer to promotion than previously. Then season 27 saw them promote to the EBBL.

I don't think its clear which option is best, they both seem to work. I think the best thing to do is to decide on your future plans and then commit to it.

Congrats to the Erks. Better offence won the day. His tactics got his best player in position to shoot, while mine just got everybody in the wrong place at the wrong time. The playoffs aren't the place for mistakes, and the Erks were too good to let me get away with it.
Good luck to all the teams left in the playoffs, and those involved in relegation matches.

Thanks, I felt I had a chance if you didn't go crunch time, albeit a small one as you are clearly the best team in the league. I thought you'd struggle with Elliot if I could get him the ball not being guarded by your best big man though.

I would definitely have crunch timed in your position, with home court and the best team and having TIEd all year, I think you're pretty much home & hosed if you don't get an injury and don't really need the extra enthusiasm boost.

Easy to say that in hindsight I suppose and with different tactics you probably beat me with a bit to spare anyway.

Completely agree there. My plan against inside offences this season has been basically to stop the ball getting inside. Even my best big man couldn't stop Elliott. Its worked pretty well this season.

Arrogance may have crept in but I felt I could win without crunching. In fact, I was planning to PON the next game too. It wouldn't hurt to keep enth high. I felt the possible final with Sabre was going to be close.
Whatever it was, its not an excuse. Best team won on the night.

Hello all

Its been a blast in div2 and although i've been thrashed all season long hopefully it wont be long before I'll be back with something resembling a competitive team.

Good luck to everyone in season 29!

I think you could probably be back after only a season if you want. Your arena is well on the way, its about the size mine was when I promoted I think. And I see you've already lowered your prices for next season so well done for that. Its hugely important to maximise your gate receipts.

Good luck next season.
