Can someone help explain the BBM tier system? Assuming world rank based on start of season. Is ranking cutoff per tier known?

Also curious what affects world rank. Is it league play, cup play, and BBM? Certainly not scrimmages.

Trying to figure out where the cut offs are and how to modify my rank. Better to be a big fish in a small pond when you get money for winning.

I don't think I'd want to tank league play, but if I'm on the line by end of season it may come into consideration...

Totally understand where you're coming from and was in a similar boat last season but.... I don't think it's something that can be managed that way.

My understanding is that your ranking is worked out over a longer period of time than you probably think (possibly 2-3 seasons).

Because of this, throwing 1-2 games is incredibly unlikely to make a difference and even if it did, you'd really be struggling to track that.

For the purposes of this, my advice would be win where you can. If you throw a game for a better draft pick then fair enough but yeh, manipulating your ranking for BBM purposes is definitely not that simple.

Take it easy on BBM. BBM is a consequence, not a goal. Focus on your league, you will make money by winning your league and being promoted. BBM is just a plus. Only 1 team out of 1024 win each BBM tier. It's a very hard task to win this competition regardless of the tier. If you play lower BBM tiers this usually means you are playing in low division leagues which means you won't be able to make much money which means your roster won't be very competitive, so it's basically a zero sum game. Play whatever BBM tier your team is assigned, enjoy what you get and be happy.

Makes sense. Thanks to both responses. Would be nice to have a defined promotion/relegation system between tiers so you can track. And/or maybe small awards for jumping tiers. I'm doing worse than last year despite being a better team because I raised a tier. Which seems like it will probably always be the case except in years I get "lucky" to be on the high end of a tier. But it is a fun addition to the game with nothing to lose so there's really no room for complaints.
