Press Announcements

Going through the motions

It's been a couple of weeks since our last press release, so we decided to send out a new report, about how we are progressing in the second division.

After a not very succesfull start, it seems we have found our way in Div. 2, we are a couple of games above .500 and it does not seem unlikely that we will make the play-offs. Currently we are on a swing to the western conference, which in opposite to real life, is the weaker conference. It's shaping out to be a race in our conference, with CSP, The Almighty Warriors, HVB United and De Bolle Boeren all vying for the top spot. At this time we know our place, we are not going to make 1st seed, but we do want to extend our season for a week or so.

At this time, we are quite happy with our financial setting. There has been a lot of money making its way to us and as a result we have been able to expand our arena, so that it can now hold more than 8000 fans. It is great to see our vision being succesful, but we shall not stop expanding, so that in a couple of months, we can be self-providing, without needing cup-matches to keep our balance in check.

Speaking of the cup, we were unlucky last round, to draw a away-game vs conference rivals, The Almighty Warriors. Yet we managed to prevail and we moved on to the 5th round. Only 64 teams remain at this point. Unfortunately, we had a very tough draw, and we will now be facing current top seed of the eastern conference in DBA PRO A: Virtual Virtuosi. It seems very strange that assistent-coaches of the Dutch NT keep meeting eachother in the cup. We shall give it our best, try to move on again and hopefully draw an opponent from a lower division during round 6.
