As a longtime supporter, I am so sick of the constant foul trouble my teams stay in. I have good defenders who routinely foul out, or spend half the game on the bench because of fouls. I get 8,9,10 fouls in a quarter all the time, doesn't seem to matter the level of the team I am playing. I know there is an aggression modifier, but we cant see it, I have hired psychs to try to mitigate it, nothing works. Guys with 14 outside defense getting 3 fouls in less than 2 minutes is absurd, my bigs do the same all the time. FIX THIS SHIT.

Thanks for replying MRJ, apparently, I am the only one that this is happening too, at least among those of us who look at the message boards. It is so frustrating, it is borderline ruining the entire experience. I however have not had the injury issue, mine has been foul, foul, foul. I had one game at the end of last season where I had like 22 fouls to the other teams 2, I think they had 31 points from the line, I had 2, just absurd. And it is happening again to me this season. My best big James "The" Profitt, has always been aggressive but even now as a 34-year-old, super experienced veteran he got 4 fouls in the first quarter against a team I have owned in the past. I wound up losing the season opener because my dumbass put a rookie C in as his backup thinking he might get some 4th quarter mop up work, instead he had to play 25 minutes and cost me the game. Now I shouldn't have done that, HOWEVER there is no reasonable way my franchise player should have gotten 4 fouls in the first quarter against an opposing C nowhere near his caliber. And it just continues this way. My latest BBM game against a good opponent, I collected like 16 fouls in the first half to his 4 or 5, just an absurdity that makes it too high a hill to win games. I would up not being competitive really all because of the fouls. The fact that we cant get anyone to talk to us about why this is happening, and I mean someone from BB, not just someone with an opinion, is off-putting. They certainly have the manpower to collect our money. And certainly, the fouling is affecting my training in a variety of ways, none of which are positive.

I definitely agree. I am almost certain that in the game injuries in the game have increased this season. I haven't seen an official statement on this matter, but I've encountered some very absurd things this season.

It is not just the players who are training; all my players are getting in the game injured one after another.

I attribute this to my use of a seven-man rotation and the generally high weekly minutes played by the players.

A seven-man rotation and heavy weekly minutes had been the strategy I employed for years. I had never encountered a situation quite like the one I faced this season.

The foul issues made me ragequit the game few years ago. Its just one of the stupid buzzerbeater „Features“ that wont be fixed no matter what. I drafted two great rookies, guess what they average like 6 fouls per 36 minutes. Fucking waste of energy to try and fix that.

Yes, the hidden aggressiveness attribute is annoying at times, I've seen some of my best defenders being fouled out on so many occasions and then when I'll let an actual potato play their position, they won't defend any good, but won't do a single foul either. It's certainly something that could be looked at in the future, if there's any adjustments possible. But, I'm all in for having aggressive players in the rosters, that's what we have in real basketball too, but I do think they should be a rarer breed than they are right now.

There is a clear distinction between "agressive" and "stupid". An "agressive" defender in real life still won't foul out every game, what we see here are players who foul three times on consecutive possesions, maybe its a bug and not a feature.

I think the game should be recreational, easy going and fun. All the stuff that kills the fun should go. Foul prone players are okay, but those hyper agressive beasts need to go away, it sucks and adds NOTHING of value to the game.

BB-Justin mentioned that aggressive players also draw more fouls and have an increased chance to steal the ball or cause a turnover. I agree aggressive players are a real pain (and that's coming from a manager whose two main trainees are aggressive players) but at least I try to comfort myself with this.
