RS Round 10: Friday, November 21st, 2025 ED 105-93 LMS (136505727)
RS Round 11: Monday, November 24th, 2025 FRE 74-103 ED (136506708)

RS Round 14: Friday, December 5th, 2025 ED 115-104 WAG (136504561)

- Logically, I still lose vs the vzery best teams, but I won 2-*3 games more easily than it was expected.
- I won the 2 games vs French teams, so my all time record vs French teams is 3-3
- I **SHOULD** end the season with a 11-4 record, 1 more win than last season (if I win vs Trouville !).
- Team is improving, expecially in Rebound, thanks to the 8 weeks of training in rebounding...

@all HGL managers, important:

Please see (here: (328546.121), please read especially *** Rule compilation: ***) how equal number of wins situations for 3 or more teams will be handled at the end of Regular Season on Season 3 when rankings for Playoffs (ORSR-rankings) are being created
(unless someone strongly and quickly opposes that and offers better solution and grounds why we absolutely should use that comparison method instead of current proposition of mine).

Some Season 3 Round 14 match reports:

- ED-WAG: Tied after 3rd quarter, but too strong ED team for me to beat. Good tactics prediction might have helped demars in a way to a W - me not being able to restrict ED to less than 52,4% FG% was a contributing factor as well.

- LMS-HB: Another huge 4th quarter run, in this case for Latvian LMS. HB actually led the match before 4th, but ended up losing by 12. Threes and free throws favored LMS here... Also HB´s assists-to-turnovers ratio was "only" about 2,5 which is good value, but I mentioned that because I can recall many ridiculously good numbers/values from HB in that department. Very important match, as this lifts LMS to 8W-6L and drops HB to 9W-5L.

- LGM-EOS: LGM was truly dominating on glass in this one, 43 to 26 for LGM (and EOS won rebounds only 19-14 at the defensive glass). Both shot really well, 53+% FG.

- D-KKS: One of the finest fights/matches of the Season 3 RS (given the underdog position of D in this one), as D gave their all against very strong KKS team in their fight for last spot on spotlight (Playoffs), in which they fell slightly short this time around due to a loss on overtime. Big amount of offensive rebounds (15 and 22, respectively) and huge amount of blocks (12 and 14, so total of 26!) was seen in this 53 minute battle.

- HAD-WMO: while winner of this was clear, I just have to mention HAD´s threes: 19/29 which makes it 65,5%! Should they have shot at lower percentage (and should WMO gathered all defensive rebounds from those shots etc.), say at 9/29 at 31%, it would've (theoretically) been a 1 point match. (This of course is an if-game - we all know how difficult it's to win HAD and VPO, and for example to restrict them to 31% instead of 65,5%).

- SUM-FRE: while winner of this match was quite clear, I included this match in match report because it was an important one for SUM; they now hold one win advantage over EOS before last round (Round 15) or RS. SUM will face WMO, and EOS will face KKS in last Round... and if they would end up in equal number of wins-situation (2-way tie), then EOS would claim the last (12th) spot in Season 3 Playoffs.

Good luck to all for Round 15, and please don't forget to read my "3 or more teams tie"-rule addition post(s)!

@ all HGL managers:
Last Regular Season Round has now been played, and Official Regular Season Rankings (ORSR) have now been cemented for the Season 3 Playoffs.

I have corrected league tables (on both Scores and Main threads) to reflect correct standings between teams.

Actual ORSR table is found from the Season 3 Playoff post, here: (328547.7).

Please note, that now it's time for teams that ranked from 5th to 12th to start organizing Playoff matches; please do that as soon as possible, because First Round of Playoffs is played already on this Sunday, 14th of December!

Official match time will be your local equivalent of 3.30PM EET (which is the same time that you see your HGL matches being played this Season when you take a look at your Buzzerbeater schedule).

It's also important to remember, that:

A) All matches are played either on home or away court, so no neutral court matches in Playoffs!

B) home team (higher ranked team) is responsible for sending PU match challenge, and lower ranked team is responsible for accepting challenge with correct match details
Match details means that match day, time and court balance are appropriate, which in this case means that better ranked team will play on their home court; if these match details are not correct, do not accept match challenge, but instead contact manager in question (and me if it seems necessary/preferred by you) by BBMail, and we'll solve the situation together.

C) Please keep on adding your Playoff match links as soon as match has been organized (so that I can verify it and copy-paste it to official HGL schedule), and scores of matches to your team's own Season box score post.

So let's get started with this match organizing process for HGL Season 3 First Round of Playoffs,
here is the schedule (home team name is in bold text):

Rank #5 ED vs. #12 SUM *Waiting for a match link!*

Rank #6 HB vs. #11 WAG (137635189)

Rank #7 WMO vs. #10 LGM (137634158)

Rank #8 LMS vs. #9 VIV (137633938)

Lielupes Melnās Sirdis - Rajdersi 103 - 114

📊 Team Overview
Lielupes Melnās Sirdis
FG: 39/82 (47.6%)
3PT: 13/32 (40.6%)
FT: 12/16 (75%)
Rebounds: 36 (5 OR)
Assists: 24
Turnovers: 12
Steals: 3
Blocks: 0
Personal Fouls: 17
Points: 103

Lielupe delivered a strong offensive performance with efficient shooting both inside and outside. Their backcourt duo (Skucs + Jaunkamps) combined for 65 points, keeping the team competitive. However, defensive struggles and rebounding deficits hurt them—especially allowing Rajdersi to take 96 shots from the field.

Rajdersi
FG: 49/96 (51%)
3PT: 2/13 (15.4%)
FT: 14/16 (87.5%)
Rebounds: 45 (13 OR)
Assists: 22
Turnovers: 6
Steals: 6
Blocks: 4
Personal Fouls: 13
Points: 114

Rajdersi played a physically dominant game. They took more shots, won the rebounding battle by +9, and committed only 6 turnovers, giving themselves significantly more offensive opportunities. Despite poor three-point shooting, they scored efficiently inside and controlled the pace.

⭐ Individual Player Highlights
Lielupes Melnās Sirdis
V. Skucs (SG) — 33 pts, 5 threes, 8/8 FT

Efficient scoring night, carrying the perimeter offense.

E. Jaunkamps (SF) — 32 pts, 8 ast, 6 threes
Outstanding all-around performance, combining scoring and playmaking.

E. Lipsks (PF) — 14 pts, 9 reb
Solid inside presence; helped on the boards.

T. Dambekalns (C) — 10 pts, 12 reb
Strong rebounding effort, reliable in the paint.

T. Hiršs (PG) — 8 pts, 5 ast
Good ball movement, moderate scoring.

Bench Total: 6 points
Minimal offensive contribution from reserves.

Rajdersi
Z. Kopec (SF) — 30 pts, 12 reb, 3 stl
Best overall performance of the night; aggressive on both ends.

S. Spólnik (PG) — 19 pts, 3 ast
Efficient lead guard, controlled tempo well.

M. Komosa (SG) — 18 pts, 7 ast
Great combination of scoring and playmaking.

P. Robaszkiewicz (PF) — 14 pts, 9 reb
Physical presence and reliable finishing.

L. Kornatowski (C) — 11 pts, 8 reb, 2 blk
Anchor in the paint; strong defensively.

Bench total: 22 points

Crucial advantage over Lielupe’s reserves.

🔎 Key Boxscore Takeaways
✔ Rajdersi won the possession battle
More rebounds, fewer turnovers, and more field-goal attempts (96 vs 82).

✔ Lielupe relied heavily on two players
Skucs and Jaunkamps scored 63% of the team’s points.

✔ Rajdersi dominated inside
Low 3PT percentage didn’t matter because of constant scoring at the rim and second-chance points.

✔ Bench difference was decisive
22–6 for Rajdersi — major factor in a 11-point win.

🧾 Final Summary

This was a high-scoring game with strong offensive efficiency on both sides, but Rajdersi’s physicality, rebounding, bench production, and low turnover count gave them a clear statistical edge. Lielupe shot well from outside but couldn’t stop Rajdersi near the basket.

🧾 Final Summary

[..]

As a final summary, now I learned how it feels to be replaced by AI... ;)

But on more serious note, I like your initiative on this Paul George, thank you for this!
Like Spela mentioned, it's interesting to read these things... May I ask which AI did you use to create this? I wonder if it's the same that T-Lit, manager of Buckner Bandits, used on HGL Season 1 to create match reports/analysis( does anyone know/remember which one was it that he used?).

As far as AI goes, I wonder what kind of capabilities does it have (and what input did you gave it, box score only in this case?), would it be capable of analyzing also a shot chart of that match (for example calculate from shot chart that which part of shots have been taken from 3 second area, how big part of shots are mid range jumpers and how big part of shots taken have been threes; and if it some way it would be able to be given access to match viewer, maybe it could also analyze shot distribution throughout the match, for example that "while first 3 quarters RAJ´s offensive focus was inside, on 4th quarter RAJ really started to deliver from behind the three point arc", etc.) in combination with box score, and possibly compare team (and single player) performance in this match in question against teams´/their season statistical averages so far (so that we would easily see who under- or overperformed in that match), etc.?

Nevertheless, as I said, it's interesting to read these and it also gives us non-AI writers interesting take on which comparisons we've possibly forgot to write about (when writing match reports).
