Lielupe delivered a strong offensive performance with efficient shooting both inside and outside. Their backcourt duo (Skucs + Jaunkamps) combined for 65 points, keeping the team competitive. However, defensive struggles and rebounding deficits hurt them—especially allowing Rajdersi to take 96 shots from the field.

Rajdersi played a physically dominant game. They took more shots, won the rebounding battle by +9, and committed only 6 turnovers, giving themselves significantly more offensive opportunities. Despite poor three-point shooting, they scored efficiently inside and controlled the pace.

⭐ Individual Player Highlights

Bench total: 22 points

Crucial advantage over Lielupe’s reserves.

🔎 Key Boxscore Takeaways
✔ Rajdersi won the possession battle
More rebounds, fewer turnovers, and more field-goal attempts (96 vs 82).

✔ Lielupe relied heavily on two players
Skucs and Jaunkamps scored 63% of the team’s points.

✔ Rajdersi dominated inside
Low 3PT percentage didn’t matter because of constant scoring at the rim and second-chance points.

✔ Bench difference was decisive
22–6 for Rajdersi — major factor in a 11-point win.

🧾 Final Summary

This was a high-scoring game with strong offensive efficiency on both sides, but Rajdersi’s physicality, rebounding, bench production, and low turnover count gave them a clear statistical edge. Lielupe shot well from outside but couldn’t stop Rajdersi near the basket.

🧾 Final Summary

[..]

As a final summary, now I learned how it feels to be replaced by AI... ;)

But on more serious note, I like your initiative on this Paul George, thank you for this!
Like Spela mentioned, it's interesting to read these things... May I ask which AI did you use to create this? I wonder if it's the same that T-Lit, manager of Buckner Bandits, used on HGL Season 1 to create match reports/analysis( does anyone know/remember which one was it that he used?).

As far as AI goes, I wonder what kind of capabilities does it have (and what input did you gave it, box score only in this case?), would it be capable of analyzing also a shot chart of that match (for example calculate from shot chart that which part of shots have been taken from 3 second area, how big part of shots are mid range jumpers and how big part of shots taken have been threes; and if it some way it would be able to be given access to match viewer, maybe it could also analyze shot distribution throughout the match, for example that "while first 3 quarters RAJ´s offensive focus was inside, on 4th quarter RAJ really started to deliver from behind the three point arc", etc.) in combination with box score, and possibly compare team (and single player) performance in this match in question against teams´/their season statistical averages so far (so that we would easily see who under- or overperformed in that match), etc.?

Nevertheless, as I said, it's interesting to read these and it also gives us non-AI writers interesting take on which comparisons we've possibly forgot to write about (when writing match reports).

Hi,

I prepared invitation, let me know if it's correct - just please accept it :).

@Paul George and Spela:
We are in EU, so DST shouldn't be an issue as it is changed at the same time, right?

Paul George,
What time did you use when you sent challenge?

Spela and Paul George, when you look at your team schedule page,

I'm not sure if it has caused confusion, as I have mentioned that in Playoffs match time is 3.30PM EET.

In here EET, Eastern European Time is the key point, and the time that we're comparing into, because it means your local equivalent of 3.30PM EET.
In other words, I am at EET time zone, so all my HGL matches this season (including playoff match against HB) show as being played at 15.30.
Unless there is some serious mistake in my thinking, match time in Sweden, Poland and Italy for instance, are 1 hour behind that, so 14.30.

Just like during regular season PU match organizing process, when one sends PU invitation, they use their own designated time given for their team when sending challenge.
For Season 3 Playoffs official match time is your local equivalent of 3.30PM EET. In other words, if you are not in EET time zone, you need to adjust that time.
Now that we stick with this 15.30 EET on Playoffs, this listing should provide correct match times for all (if I'm not somehow strangely mistaken): (328546.3)

I believe I mentioned in Announcements-posts (or somewhere else prior to playoffs), that we'll use that time throughout the Playoffs - the same time, that you see HGL matches been played this season, when you look at your team schedule page.

Our first round playoff match was played at correct official time. Compare this time (that you see when you look at your team schedule, and search for our Playoff meeting) to challenge that Rajdersi sent you; if it's same time (as far as I know you should play all your HGL matches this season at 14.30, right?) then in that case you can accept the challenge.

I'm not aware of any case in where time would change after you have accepted it, so you should not accept incorrect challenges (to prevent Rajdersi for losing one token).

Wow, what a rocky start for a Playoffs - I'll change my order for the Second Round, thank you very much ;)

But now that we got the forfeit and rematch out of the way, maybe it's a return to the success path once again.

Anyway, LGM was so close to providing a surprise result as a lower ranked away team, and as for tight losses for away teams this 5 point loss was all-time the second tightest Playoff loss on away court (trailing only ED´s 3 point Playoff loss earlier).

In LMS vs. VIV, it was a 3 point game before 4th quarter, but then something happened. Both were ice cold behind the 3 point arc, combining 3 of 35(!) - maybe outside defense orientated tactics (and in the case of VIV, inside orientated offense, that tends to drop 3p% sometimes even dramatically) did the trick?
