From last season's news:
While this season still remains untouched, from the aspect of player salaries and game engine, we are planning some changes here. Shot blocking will return as a bigger factor in salary calculations, accompanied with some other changes to the salary formula. The elastic effect in training will be reduced and finally, there will be some game engine changes to address the trends in BB strategies. We plan to implement these changes gently and over time.

- Are the changes in the elastic effect starting with the training update this Friday?

Hello,

I am a relatively new user and I'm looking for some advice from more experienced users.

I completed my first full season here as I just started halfway through in the previous one, went 22-0 in the regular season in the league and won the playoffs without a loss as well. So I got promoted to II division in my country. As the gap in quality between our II and III divisions is immense, naturally the salary floor is also much higher (and I understand that the weekly TV contract amount will be updated likewise with the economy update). I will lose my "grace period" for salary floor in 3 days and I'm over 100k $ under it. Now I have no choice but to sign some player(s) to fill that salary gap as otherwise the money would go to waste. Fine, I'd have the money for that (promotion bonus gave me a huge bump), but it would mean my weekly income would go from +10k to basically -100k. How would I survive that? The only thing I can think of is to reduce staff salaries and try to expand the arena even more. I could cut the staff salaries by around 30k and the new TV contract is expected to help me in the 50k region. That would still mean making a loss of a few thousand dollars each week. Not to mention the weekly ticket income from the arena will probably go down as by looking at the superior quality of the older teams, I will not be winning any league games this season and the fans will not be showing up Meaning I could face bankruptcy if I don't keep a lot of money in the bank.

So I invested in the roster with some good signings (nothing blockbuster), bought trainees to constantly train to plan for the future, expanded the arena gradually to increase income and now this salary floor will punish me? I wanted to take the game seriously, win as much and as quickly as possible, but now the jump from the promotion really hits hard and takes away the fun a bit.

Any guidance would be much appreciated nevertheless!

Hi,

You should build the arena as quick as you could. The fans don't leave you alone for the majority of the season upon promotion so take it to your advantage and drive the ticket prices higher.

I don't know how much you have it in the bank but anything that could help you while you are building the arena is good. Remember the 50k from the tournament for a few rounds as well.

I believe thats more important than building a competitive team for now.

Why is it not allowed to bid on players from your original team for your Utopia team and viceversa?

I mean, there are a couple players I won't play on original team that could perform in Utopia, and this is not like a rental or something that I only have access too, if I put a player on sale anyone can bid on that player, so it is not that I am transfering a player without anyone to can intercede, anyone can outbid and take that player away, so dont get why I can't bid for a player.

I would get it if rentals or loans where a thing, but if a player is going to general knowledge and anyone can see that player, you should be able to bid on that.

To prevent teams from either farming players or dumping money on the destined team. I think thats pretty clear.

This I get it, but if a player wont be used on a team and might get use in the other, why can't bid on him if price is 1000$? Anyone can sign him...and that goes for farming too, if I have to retire a player bc he will not play, but on 2nd team can, plays and grows, anyone can bid him on too if it is profitable for better leagues.

I think there would be way too much opportunity to abuse the system, so it might just be better to keep that door shut forever.
