Good Season for the club, as we succeeded in staying in DII, by winning the relegation PlayDown (2-0) vs a team who bought two monsters 1-2 months ago.
So, next season, I hope we will ba able to reach PO (I was 2 wins from PO this season) because my team should be better this season. My 2 big potential turn 27-26 and have become the 2 best players of the squad.

nice ED I thnk in upcoming seasons you will be safe in div II

My plan for next season is at least seed 4# to avoid relegation games.
Salaries reaches 500k so maybe during season we have to say good bye to one player(reserve).

I drafted MVP player so I will take care of him and I am super happy about this
Two other rookies have to leave due to salaries (one is 11k salary SG with expensive skills and he is already capped )

Good luck to all HG teams

you have great team, nice stats (defense, offense)

high potential players from draft are always great(MVP or higher), now you have two so it's great to train them together

Hi all.
I didn't deserve it, but I got promoted to the spanish 3rd division for the first time.
I lost to the winner in the semi finals, 134-136, but I got promoted I don't know why.
By the way, my team was the best with only one loss durng the whole season.
I got a good team, quality players in all the positions on the court, we'll see if I can stay int this division, my real chances.
Also received without paying attention to the draft a nice prospect, 18 year old. Maybe I'll train him.

Good luck all, greetings from Gran Canaria, Spain.

It's been a while since writing to this thread, which has been important thread to many of us HG managers in many respects, for a long time.

It's the one forum thread that we used to flood with HGL (used to be called 'BBHG' on the working table) discussion, before establishing the Official HGL Threads.

Speaking of which, we're now playing HGL Season 5, and due to all current managers having already confirmed their participation to Season 6 as well, it's unlikely we'd be able to expand from 18 teams at least as for now.

However, as we've experienced many times, there can be surprising last minute withdrawals (or lack of communication, which forces us to replace the manager in question), or even some crucial penalties that would cause team being ineligible during the next HGL Season.

Therefore I've now created a HGL-PL (HGL Promotion/Participation League). I'll copy-paste below what has already been published on Home-Grown League (HGL) Season 5 Official Thread, so that all others who still haven't informed of their interest on playing in HGL in the future (teams that are not on this list here: (331392.83) can check it out and consider if they'd also feel like participating to HGL-PL, which starts really soon and is an all-manual, Pickup (PU) match based short league:

********************

@all current and especially potential future HGL managers, read through carefully:

I established posts for HGL-PL (HGL-Promotion/Participation League), here:
(331392.19),
(331392.20), and
(331392.21).

I also sent BBMails to all currently HGL eligible (or nearly eligible; San Fernando VR) teams on this post that I now replied into (which is teams interested in HGL participation-post).

In other words, contacted teams were:
BC Homegrown
San Antonio Gladiators
Svätý Jur Snakers
Tassie Devils
San Fernando VR.

I gave them 10 days to respond whether they want to participate to HGL-PL, and like everybody can see, that's the first and foremost way of being selected to the HGL should new places open for one reason or another.

The BBMail I sent will be copied below, so that basically everyone (also all non-HGL managers, that have not yet informed of their interest towards HGL) will see it, and can react to it, should they be interested in possibly being able to join HGL on Season 6 and/or 7 (mostly for Season 6 at least, only if there would be surprising withdrawals or penalties that will cause current teams to become ineligible for S6).

Here's the BBMail I wrote to all interested managers, and everyone new to HGL whose team will be 100% HG (Home-Grown) during the whole duration of HGL-PL can also join HGL-PL, if they fulfill as well all the other requirements mentioned in above 3 links:

Hi,
I'm HGL (Home-Grown League) Commissioner.
I now contacted all eligible teams who've shown interest in participating to HGL in future.

All current 18 HGL teams have confirmed they want to participate on HGL Season 6 (it'll take place on BB season 73).
Therefore maximum limit of teams will very likely remain at 18 teams on HGL Season 6, so likely no direct/open route to Season 6 will be available through HGL-Promotion/Participation League success unless some manager(s) withdraw from HGL.

We'll anyway play round robin-type of league/playoffs/combination of both (TBD) between non-HGL teams.
If someone withdraws from HGL, places in HGL for next Season(s?) would be offered to teams based on their success in recent HGL-PL (and results might be used for possible Season 7 offers too).

Please let me know in 10 days if you want to participate to HGL-PL; please only participate if you'd be willing to participate to actual HGL Season 6 and/or 7.

More info:(331392.19)&2 following posts.

Please, don't count on me.

I see. I sent you BBMail about it, so let's discuss it there a bit further, if you have time.
