Unfortunately you accidentially must have deleted the part where you told us why you want to have the opportunity to resize your arena.

But you are right, I am a troll because I am still replying

I for one built an oversized arena before I knew about The soft cap on attendance, so even if I smash in 23,000 punters it is still barely 55-60% full. It’d be nice to have a stadium that is realistically a chance to fill. Getting back a portion of the invested money would be nice but I get why you wouldn’t.
On one hand if you were going bankrupt it could serve as a way try to dig yourself out by selling some excess seats.
On the other hand, wealthy clubs could use it to stockpile money by buying a buttload of bleachers as a way of hoarding money ‘off the books’ and then cashing in to produce a monster team or drive bidding prices for staff through the roof, which wouldn’t be ideal.
I’d be happy to see a way to downsize, not sure about getting reimbursed.

I'd also be against a refund. In fact, I think you should have to pay to remove seats.

Exactly my thoughts - I also think in this case there's no downside in giving players freedom to do that should they so wish to do - and it's not like anyone could really complain about that change especially if one wouldn't gain anything for selling/demolishing those seats they don't want to have in their arena.
And like GM-Perpete really well pointed out, it has already been done before, so from coding standpoint for me it certainly seems possible to do it again (without huge effort in terms of changing code).

I have an oversize Arena too.
Anyway, what is the economic advantage to reduce the seats (for free)?
More % of attendance but less money in total, am I wrong?
