Cup run ends!

Team Fusio's gallant cup run has finally ended just one match short of a chance to lift the National Trophy. Fusio came up against a formidable opponent In Vitamin Power a team full of quality and expertly marshalled by Ribena1.
Fusio fans were in fact treated to a quality match which remained close up until the final quarter when Fusio were forced to take poor shots in their efforts to claw back the ever growing deficit.

Fusio led after the first quarter by 6 points but any hopes of an upset began to evaporate as Vitamin Power started to turn the screw in the second quarter and by half time the Power led by 7 at 47-54.
The third quarter was a closer affair with the Power eventually edging it by a single point to lead by 8 at the end of quarter 3.
The fourth quarter however was a one sided affair with Vitamin Power pushing home their advantage and finally taking the tie 95-114.

Team Fusio coach said ' Whilst we are really upset at losing in the semi's we lost to a strong team ranked 7th in the country. My guys have had a long season and have tried to balance the league and cup which has not been that easy. There were some tired legs out there tonight but now we can regroup and concentrate on winning the league and trying for promotion to the EBBL. A special mention must go to our new recruit Bernhardt Polsterer who worked tirelessly tonight and top scored with 38 points, but overall the lads have done me proud."

Great report and I'm sad to have missed what looked like a very good game between two quality teams.

we played vitamin and unlike many other teams they don't have any apparent weaknesses on court and their players are in top gameshape which makes a massive difference too.

But now you can concentrate on bringing home the div2 bacon!

Outside isolation was an interesting choice I might have tried a slower outside offense and hoped for better quality shots.after all a tight game at the end of a big game can go either way and you had the fans behind you plus some experience too. Polsterer looks very able.he could be the man to watch in the play offs this year

Good luck with the rest of your campaign
