Play off disappointment spoils successful season

Fusio lost out to TLM in the play off quarter final in which Fusio's coach admitted to failing to get his team fired up enough to close out a very tight game. This said however Fusio can reflect on a good season which has seen them build on their first season in Division II. Fusio saw their first player capped at National level in Dean Ellsworth who will surely be pushing for a full England call up if he continues to progress at the levels he is. Another player being to make an impact is Maitland who has become the perfect understudy for Ellsworth. Other big name signings have started to gel and Fusio will look to consolidate their position with the squad they have, Veronese, Vullings and Unlu have all come in and had solid first seasons whilst the home grown talent of Singh and Bradwell have also continued to improve.

Fusio have had to let a number of players go this season however as the financial constraints of keeping their top players kick in although the wages paid to Ellsworth are easily justified by his performances on the court. With a low draft pick Fusio's coach has confirmed tht they do not expect to pick up any real prospects but remain hopeful of picking up at least one decent pick. Fusio will always be on the look out of talented individuals who can be trained to do a job for the team but it would appear at least for now that there will be no big name siginings in the close season.

Fusio's owners have cinfirmed the need to expand the current stadium in order to generate the kind of revenue needed to consolidate for next season.
