New York Jests Relegate for the First Time Since Inaugural Season

Despite a record that would have been good enough for 2nd place in the opposite division of the NBBA, numerous managerial mistakes dropped the Jests to 6th place and a relegation series for the first time in team history. In fact they missed the playoffs for only the 3rd time in 15 seasons.

Leading up to the season finale it quickly became evident that the team was not going to be able to stay afloat as currently constructed so the GM leveraged up and went all in with Siim Ereb and Salim Dazkir, good enough to give the Jests one of the highest payroll in the NBBA. Despite all of this the Jest showed just how big of a joke the team really is.

When Coach Rambo was asked what caused the team to relegate he replied, "Some people contend that I was distracted and not 100% behind my team but I think that's all a bunch of rubbish" before going back to polishing his U21 World Championship trophy.

Upon relegating the team learned it would be placed in division II.3, a new division but one with plenty of familiar faces. Jelme, for one, was rumored to have squealed with delight upon hearing the news but then quickly composed himself after people started staring. Herbert Dusak on the other hand could not be reached for comment after barricading himself in the locker room and refusing the come out unless we promised Perry Gipson wasn't with us.
