Eric Paz, the Last Original Chunk, Enters HOF

Number 22 has always been worn by Eric Paz, and will never be donned by another player. The last player from the original New York Chunks still with the team has been transferred today to a team the Spanish D.IV, and the induction of Paz into the Hall of Fame will be a bittersweet occasion. After 10 seasons, it will be strange to see the Chunks' roster without Eric Paz.

Paz was instrumental the Chunks' rapid rise through the lower divisions. The ultimate versatile player, he is the only player to start a regular season game at all five positions. Paz was a steady player in big games at the small forward position and an assurance that the Chunks would never be weak in the middle of their lineup. Paz had no weaknesses.

Unfortunately, with the successes of the Chunks made possible in very large part to Paz, he has recently found himself on the bench against increasingly athletic competitors and the Chunks' direction to bring in less versatile but more dynamic players to take his place in the lineup. But this move to a lower division will certainly bring his playing time back up and his new team will be better for having him.
