George the Janitor is Back!

Things have been a little quiet lately around ADS headquarters. The team recently moved back to Division 2, and are quite focused on having a successful season. Since everyone seems to be so focused on winning, I thought I would go ahead and take this opportunity to get to know some of the players and what we can expect this season.

I asked PG Gunay Onkol what he thinks about being back in Division 2, and he said “Well, it’s great to be back, but that only moves us one step closer to our ultimate goal!” I also asked him if he wears boxers or briefs and he said “Eat me”.

Later, I caught up with Coach Mahody and asked him his expectations for the season “I think the sky is the limit! We can play defense with the best of them, and the core of our team has been playing together for some time now….so the chemistry is pretty darn good!”

I caught up backup PF Diego Nigro and asked him about his unusual name “Seriously?” was his reply. I think offended him, but do not know why!

I got to sit down with SF James Shoemaker for a few minutes:

Me: How do you like playing SF instead of Guard?

James: It’s great, guard is probably the more natural fit for me, but I have learned to be the glue guy for this team, and I think its important role!

Me: I hear you got married in the off season…Congrats!

James: Thanks! She’s great, I am definitely a blessed man!

Me: What kind of underwear does your wife wear?

James: Seriously? I will kill you!

I quickly ran away; although I have no idea why he got so mad…hmmmm.

I was excited to speak with big man Fodor Zekic, which was a little awkward! I asked him how he likes his teammates; he replied “I dunk”. I apologized for the confusing question and ask asked him again what he thinks about the guys on the team; he replied “Dunk?” So I asked him what kind of underwear his wife wears and he said “Zekic Dunk”. I don’t think we were on the same page!

I seem to be making the players mad, so I will leave them alone for a while and try again in a week or so. The Arizona Desert Storm have started out 1-1 and won their first Cup game tonight. Next week they will have another home cup game, this time against a DIV team. Also, be sure to stop by and check out the new team logo and banners! I worked on those myself…I sure hope our marketing department doesn’t get mad at me!!
