After a season of tinkering, rebuilding, training, and boredom, the Arizona Desert Storm are ready to start playing games that matter again! Arizona get's a tough test right out of the gate, as they host the Technical Fouls. Both teams come in with revamped rosters, and trust in their defense to win games!

Arizona spent this past seeason working on things to that will serve them well in the future....PG Danila said "Playing center was fun for a while, but I got tired of getting beat up! I am ready to go back to guard, and find my teammates with the ball!"

Arizona has the same core group of guys that they have had for some time which includes PG Filimon Danila, Guard Timo Zvonc, SG James Shoemaker, & Guard Maurizio Bisi.

New to the mix is SF Panu "Camel Toe" Kamoltip. Arizona wanted a Small Forward who can help the team inside, and give the guards another scoring target. Camel Toe looks to add some real toughness to the fold.

Next, the team went out and landed monster big man Lorenzo Bland. Bland plays on the United States National team, and he's just an all around monster in the paint. He can do anything, defend, rebound, and score. He adds a of credibility to the team. The Arizona Guards have already indicated how excited they are to have Bland as a target to get the ball too.

The Desert Storm then found PF Martin Ryksa to pair with Bland in the front court. The team is very excited about Martin! He is a very versatile player that gives the team a great scoring weapon, and along with Bland will make scoring in the paint very tough for the opposition.

To give some depth to the roster, Arizona signed Ville Pelkonen. He is a cagey veteran with a ton of experience. He is excited to spell the starters and be a mentor for the rest of the guys on and off the court.

The team is still thinking about whether to add another player for more depth, but for now, they feel have a title contender in place, and can't wait for the jump ball to go in the air!!
