Press Announcements

Despite Poor Start, Smedlock Insists Future is Bright

Everyone knew it was going to be a rough season for Eclypze. With the loss team cornerstone Eugene Smith and the inexperience of young but highly talented bigs Wildestrom and Tatti, it is hard to imagine where the wins would come from. However things aren't as bad as they seem.

"We acquired Lorenzo Cellemme who is one of the best guards you will ever see in division three. Right now Cellemme is having game shape issues as his former owner overworked him, but once he gets settled in he will be a dominant force in this division. He will make a devastating pairing with polish sensation Miroslaw Sygula who is still undergoing training and improving his game as well.

But those two are just the tip of the iceberg in what is in store for this franchise. We the two most talented young prospects in Swedish Wildestrom and Italian Tatti this franchise has ever had. Yes I do believe they will be better than both Nemesio Xermade and Eugene Smith and everyone knows how good those two players were. One factor in favor of Tatti and Wildestrom is their height, while Xermade and Smith were 6'6" tweeners and suffered slower training in both outside and inside skills. Tatti and Wildestrom are legit bigs who will train the inside skills very fast.

In fact we expect Wildestrom to be a revolutionary talent, a big man who can defend the paint, block shots and rebound like Hakeem Olajuwon on the defensive end while playing point guard on the offensive end, akin to Magic Johnson. Once he finishes his training program he will be a walking triple double.

But of course it will be a couple of more seasons before either Tatti or Wildestrom are good enough to start making an impact in division three. In the meantime Eclypze will continue to hold its place in this division. Right now we are much better than a 1-7 team and once the game shape issues are resolved we expect to start knocking down some wins this season while making the playoffs the next."
