Eclypze Wins The Trophy!

Last season was a wild ride for Eclypze fans. Early in the season we had a couple of losses and were in third place all season. Then somehow we snatched first place in the division on the very last game of the season and beat out Atlanta Stryke by just 10 point differential to get homecourt advantage in the playoffs.

We cruised through the playoffs, beating both the strong outside attack of the deadly Atlanta Stryke and the inside attack of Locurita. In the second game of the finals Eclypze was down 24-8 in the first quarter to Locurita, but the comeback kids struck again led by Horacio Saiz Perez with 16 points and 8 rebounds and Eclypze won their first ever trophy with a 71-64 victory. Horacio was awarded finals MVP, an incredible accomplishment for just a 19 year old. Despite earlier trade rumors we believe he will be a part of this team for a long time.

We have decided to build on this success by selling our veterans and going after some of the best rookies in the draft whom we hope to train to help the US national team with their SF position. It may be a rough year next year but Eclypze fans have a lot to look forward to in the future as our rookies emerge into stars.
