Biñan City, Philippines — The Biñan City Rage secured their place in the PPL after a dramatic comeback victory over the Jeorgians, 95–83, in Game 3 of their relegation series at the CALAX Pavilion last night.
Hall of Fame C Arby Teston delivered in the clutch, scoring 10 of his 14 points in the fourth quarter as the Rage overturned a 14-point deficit. The Jeorgians had led 54–40 early in the third, but Biñan City’s resilience and home crowd energy fueled a decisive rally. He also added 10 rebounds.
The best-of-three series was tightly contested. The Rage opened with a 122–113 win at home, before the Jeorgians responded with a 106–96 victory on their floor. With survival on the line, Biñan City closed out the series in front of their fans.
Froilan Villablanca and Dennis Merida each scored 21 points to pace the Rage.
Keith Taton added 14 points and 10 rebounds, joining Teston in recording a double-double.
